I can’t believe this day has finally arrived! The day I get to share my new blog-site with EVERYONE! I have thought about this new site for a long time and tried to come up with a simple design that people could get straight to my blog and read the content, access information about me and my pricing without leaving the blog or any blog content, and have an easy way to showcase my best work.

I designed this site to be as self-explanatory as possible. The categories link above will show you all the different blog posts related to the different types of photography sessions I shoot. The showcase is not related to any blog posts but will rather bring up a slideshow showcasing my portfolio in different photography categories. Make sure you have the latest version of Adobe Flash Player in order to view any slideshows on the site. You will notice that you will not find ‘Weddings’ under my showcase section because I believe each wedding is unique and tells its own individual story, so the best way to see my wedding photography is to go to Categories and select ‘Wedding Slideshows’. This will bring up slideshows from individual weddings so that clients can get a feel of what a typical wedding day will look through my lens.

I have also decided to begin only showing 5 images from my portrait sessions and if any visitors would like to see additional photos from that particular session they can click on the ‘read the rest of this entry’ link. I chose to do this to speed up loading time on my website and minimize the loads of scrolling that was happening when posting 20+ images per blog post.

I would like to give a special thanks to Jayme Blackmon of West Main Studio for doing the programming for this blog-site. This site started with me sketching ideas with pencil and paper and Jayme helped breathe life into the site and I can’t thank him enough for putting up with me and all my ideas. If any of you need some web design work give him a shout and he’ll treat you good! Special love also goes out to Patrick Daly of Develop Daly who designed my old blog and always helps me when I got my own programming problems to deal with. Since every post is better with a picture, I am going to share an image of me and my wife in our very first home that we recently just bought! It is an exciting time in our life right now and here is just a tiny glimpse inside.
